Brenda Faye Reed was born February 3, 1962, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was the baby of 9 children.
Faye was joyful and full of life as a child and known as a daddy’s girl. She had an energetic and charismatic spirit that followed her into her adult years and a smile that would light up the room. She resided in Las Vegas, Nevada most of her youth where she attended Kit Carson Elementary school, JD Smith Jr. High School and later graduated from Rancho High school. After graduating High school Faye went on to attend College of Southern Nevada where she attended college courses and worked as a recruiter. Faye later worked as a Secretary for the City of North Las Vegas as a part of their CETA Program and went on to pursue other projects in the years that followed.
Faye will be remembered as a loving and caring sister and mother, a funny and spirited grandmother and aunt, and a loyal and authentic friend. She kept a big, beautiful smile on her face, a fresh set of finger waves and a bad pair of boots. To know her was to love her and to be loved by her was to have an unwavering and unconditional love at your side.
Faye is survived by one daughter Dalonda Reed, one grandchild Xavier McCree, one sister Pernecia Alonzo Dallas. Two brothers Tyrone Reed and Donald Reed, her lifelong partner Earl Smith and a host of nieces, nephews and family members.
She was preceded in death by her son Andre Darnell Walker, her parents William “WC” and Verdene Reed, two brothers Herbert Lee Reed and Matthew Bernard Reed, three sisters Shirley Ann Reed, Vicky Lynn Reed and Lois Marie Reed.
