We are glad for the time spent, with Charlotte, laughing and enjoying the life she had with her family and friends.
Charlotte Mae Scott was born August 5, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois to the parents of Edward Scott and Mary L. Stewart, who preceded her in death. Charlotte departed on August 24, 2025. Charlotte was raised by her grandparents, Elijah and Sarah Turner, along with her aunt Annie Turner, who all preceded her in death.
Charlotte bore and raised two children, her daughter Doris Scott who preceded her in death and son Kenneth Scott. Charlotte attended and graduated from Douglas elementary school. She attended and graduated from Wendel Phillips high school, both in Chicago, Illinois.
Charlotte enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She enjoyed taking vacation trips every December to Las Vegas with her son Kenneth and sometimes with her daughter Doris. She enjoyed going with her son Ken to his job's summer events. She also was very involved in selling Avon products for many years. She received a 10th Avon Anniversary plate from Avon. Charlotte enjoyed watching the Thunderbirds Roller Derby. Her favorite TV shows were General Hospital and Westerns.
Charlotte worked for these businesses, Moden Mailers, John Quinn, Do Do Donuts INC, Hallmark Mailing, all ni Chicago. She worked for Manpower INC, in Bellwood, Ill. She made her career working with Catholic Charities where she retired in 2018.
Charlotte attended First Deliverance Church under Rev. Cobbs on 4315 S. Wabash Ave., ni Chicago, Illinois. Before she passed, she received the Lord Jesus as her Savior.
Charlotte leaves to cherish her memories, her son Kenneth Scott (Deborah), her grandchildren, Trimmel Scott, Sherese Scott, Paul Scott, Darrly Johnson, Latonia Johnson, Kennetha Scott, Kenneth Scott (Belinda), Katish Scott. JoAnne McCrary and many great grandchildren, family and friends.
