At the age of 94, she left us peacefully, wrapped in the loving arms of her cherished family at her home. Her passing marks the end of an era, but her spirit and love continue to illuminate the lives of those she touched.

Darlene was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jim Harris, and two sons, Chuck, and Bobby, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience. Her devoted daughter, Vonnalee Lee, and son-in-law William, who tenderly cared for her in her final year, survive her. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister Sandy, 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren who will carry forward her vibrant spirit and cherish memories.

Darlene had a fulfilling career with the local school district, where she brought warmth and joy to the students from behind the lunchroom counter. Her infectious smile and genuine care made her beloved figure among the children she served. Darlene’s enthusiasm for life extended beyond her career. As proud member of the Moose Lodge, she found joy and companionship with its community.

Music played a pivotal role in Darlene’s life, and she and Jim shared a profound love for dancing. The couple spent countless evenings twirling together on the dance floor, surrounded by friends and laughter. Their graceful movements were a testament not only to their love for each other but also to their zest for life.

Darlene was renowned for her quick wit and kind heart. Her ability to bring a smile to anyone’s face was unparalleled and her gentle spirit and warmth endeared her to all who knew her.
