Ellen Voyette Swann

Psalm 37:3-4…Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Ellen Voyette Swann was born to Joe Willis Swann and Nola Mae Adams on October 31, 1963, in Abilene, Tx.

Voyette, (aka Vo) attended Breckenridge I.S.D. and was a member of the Breckenridge Handbell Choir. She attended both Williamson Chapel and Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Upon graduating, she attended Cisco Jr. College where she was a member of the Wrangler Bells and later Texas State Technical College in Waco, Tx. After relocating to Las Vegas, NV she was a member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church. Voyette was employed by the Clark County School District and worked at Desert Pine High School as an Instructional Aide. She later moved to Dean Peterson Elementary where they will be dedicating a classroom for students. She was present during the dedication of the classroom for students in her honor. The plaque will be posted on the door of the classroom for all to see. The Administration and Staff had high praises for her and how she brought a smile to others, and helped mold students; however, she did not have any children of her own.

Voyette was preceded in death by her father Joe Willis Swann and sister Patricia Swann. She leaves to mourn her mother, Nola Mae Swann of Breckenridge, Tx. Two brothers Byron Eric Swann and wife Carla of Forest Hill, Tx, and Joseph Stanley Swann and wife Yasuko of Arlington, Tx., Niece’s: Cambre Bedford, Payton Swann. Nephews: Joshua Swann, Joel Swann, and Jason Swann. Also, a host of Cousins and Friends both in Texas, Las Vegas NV., and abroad.
