Janice Marie Owens

Janice Marie Owens was born on February 27, 1960, to Perry and Ulla Moore. Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Janice spent her life surrounded by family, faith, and love. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Thomas Owens, on February 1, 2001. Together, they built a life rooted in devotion and kindness. Their love endured through the years and remained a source of strength and joy in her life.

Janice Owens was a strong, loving, and kind woman whose faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, guided her through every chapter of her life. She was known for her warm heart, joyful sense of humor, and unwavering strength while even in the face of life’s hardest battles. Her compassion touched everyone she met, and her faith was a shining example of grace and perseverance.

A devout Christian, Janice found joy in serving others and sharing God’s love wherever she went. Throughout her working years, she held positions as a construction flagger and a security guard, roles in which her dedication, reliability, and strong spirit truly shined. After many years of hard work, she proudly retired and continued to be the foundation of her family. Janice cherished spending time with her sisters and loved playing her favorite card games, especially Spades and Five Thousand, creating laughter and memories that will be forever treasured.

Janice lived a full and faithful life, always cherishing the people around her. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved and adored deeply.

Janice is preceded in death by her father, Perry Moore; siblings Malcolm Moore, Connie Moore, Hunter Stinnis, and John Bolton; daughter, Alexandria Ross; grandchildren, Moses Lewis, Ezekiel Walker, and Amilya Randolph; and niece and nephew, Keyshawn Moore and Shermaine Richardson.

Janice’s memory will forever be cherished by her devoted husband, Thomas Owens; beloved children: Arneisha LeDoux, Ashley Lewis, and Michael Ross Jr.

Her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy: Jaydea Vantrees, Kenya Graham, Joel McMillan, Savannah McMillan, Kai’loni Moore, Amari Walker, Elijah Walker, Kayla LeDoux, Elijah LeDoux, Saniya LeDoux, Enoch LeDoux, and Kyra LeDoux.

Janice is also survived by her loving mother, Ullarine Moore, and her devoted siblings: Bruce Patterson (Carol Patterson), Debra Moore- Williams (Robert Williams), Virginia Wallace (Dereck Tolbert), Michelle Moore, Sharon Barnes (James Barnes), and Tammy Moore.

Janice’s faith, laughter, and love will live on through everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she has gone home to glory, her light will never fade from our hearts. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to share in her life and love.
