In Loving Memory of Jerrie Lynette Williams

Jerrie was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose presence brought warmth and strength to all who knew her. She showed up for her family in ways that mattered, offering love, care, and support throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Laverne Smith-Caldwell and Otto Carr Jr., as well as her siblings Herbert Williams Jr., Pamela Williams, Lenora Carr, Mahalia Carr and Cynthia Howard.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children: Sham’Bre Golsten and her husband Demondre Golsten, Sha’Rhod Williams, and Shaki’Bre Starnes and her husband Tavonte Starnes. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Shamarion Scott, Demondre Golsten Jr, Syion Scott, Sarion Scott, Samaria Scott, Sha’Rhod Williams Jr., and Shakir Starnes. Jerrie is also survived by her siblings Anthony Williams, Shakiva Williams, Belinda Daniels, Juanita Clifton, Valerie Hunter, Monique Bonton, and Bridgette Hunter, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who will continue to honor her legacy.
Jerrie had a deep love for writing and journaling. The stories she could tell. She found peace and purpose in putting her life experiences into words, often creating heartfelt books dedicated to her mother and her children.
Her faith was the foundation of her life she loved the Lord deeply and remained committed to her spiritual walk. No matter what she faced, she carried God in her heart. Her grandmother, Henrietta, played a meaningful role in instilling those values in her.
Jerrie was also known for her strong drive and determination when it came to making a way for herself and her family. She believed that being broke was not an option, and she had a natural gift for finding ways to make money. Whether through her creativity, hustle, or mindset, she could sell just about anything—her way of thinking was truly one of a kind.
Above all, Jerrie loved her family. She was known for constantly uplifting and bragging on her children and grandchildren. Even during difficult times, she always found a way to give, support, and show up for others in need. Her strength, generosity, and unwavering love will never be forgotten.
