Jessie Charles Spivey was born on June 1, 1942,to the proud parents, Ulis Spivey and Era Maud Cager in Edinburg, Mississippi. He was the youngest of the four Spivey children.
Jessie completed his primary education in Chicago, Illinois, attending and graduating from Crane High School before enrolling in Crane Junior College.
In 1983 Jessie married his long time sweetheart Sandra In Chicago Illinois. Together as newlyweds they relocated to Massachusetts where he continued his career at Lucent Technology holding several positions before deciding to relocate to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2003.
Jessie had very strong work ethics, so it wasn't long before he landed a job as security for We Serve. He was forever thankful to Pastor Giddens for helping him land that job. In 2007 Jessie joined Mountain Top Faith Church where he also worked security until his health forced him to retire.
He enjoyed watching sports and debating statistics. Jessie would recall some of the greatest plays ever made in the history of White Sox baseball. Jessie was a huge Bulls basketball fan and let’s not forget the infamous Chicago Bears. Although he moved to Nevada he stayed loyal to all the Chi-town professional sports teams.
Jessie enjoyed his life and loved to have fun with the family and friends whenever possible no matter where he had to go.
Jessie’s sunset on May 7th when his Heavenly father called him home. He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings and two daughters. He leaves to cherish his heartfelt memories, his loving wife Sandra Spivey, his only son Kavin Spivey and his beloved sister Christine Banks and a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
