Joseph Carroll Jr. was born March 15, 1950, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Joseph Carroll Sr. and Gloria Lee Johnson. Joseph was called home on April 12, 2026.
Joseph Jr. relocated to Las Vegas, NV where he was raised and later started his own family. Joseph and Chrystal Ann Washington met in 1985 and married in 2001.
Joseph received the Lord at an early age and believed in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and attended Victory Missionary Baptist Church. We know that God has taken him to a better place.
He is preceded in death by his parents Gloria Johnson and Joseph Carroll Sr., his stepmother Constance Carroll, his mother-in-law Etta Faye Washington, his sister Olivia Johnson, a brother Jerry Johnson, and his nephew Brian Johnson.
Joseph joined the Army at an early age serving in the Vietnam war and remaining on active duty until he was honorably discharged in 1972. Thereafter, Joseph worked in the hospitality industry as a chef. He started his career at Binion’s Casino and concluded his career at Golden Gate Casino. Joseph enjoyed cooking for others, watching football, playing dominos, and spending time with his family and friends.
Joseph leaves to carry on his legacy, his wife Chrystal Carroll, his four children Nikita, Steven (Delecia), Azaria, and Taraneka and continuing on in his legacy he has 9 grandchildren Steven Jr., Harlem, Syarie, Kynnedi, Heiress, Seven, Niksin, Nikori, and Nikyce all of Las Vegas, NV.
He also leaves his siblings to cherish his memory Ronald Johnson, Natasha Johnson, Valerie Johnson, Lisa Johnson, and Deborah Ann Walker all of Las Vegas, NV. Jacqueline Carroll Jones Soule’, (Ronnie) Constance Carroll- Fobb (Eddie), Regina Carroll-Allen all of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Dionne Carroll-Robinson (Don) of Dallas, Texas, and a host of nieces, nephews and family friends whom he loved dearly.
