LaShayla Destiny Crain

October 27, 1985 — October 12, 2025

Lashayla Destiny Crain, affectionately known as “Shay,” was born in Oklahoma and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She attended Cheyenne High School and proudly graduated from the Academy of Healing arts.

Shay was a radiant light in every life she touched — funny, adventurous, full of energy, and always ready with a smile or a joke to lift someone’s spirits. Her laughter could fill any room, and her heart overflowed with love and compassion. She had a special affection for turtles, a reflection of her gentle and nurturing nature, and she carried a deep passion for family that guided everything she did.

Above all, Shay was a devoted mother. Her greatest joy came from her three beautiful children — Destiny Collins, Jordyn Davis, and Taveya Davis — who were her pride, her purpose, and her daily reminder of God’s blessings.

Shay was a warrior — a cancer survivor whose strength and faith inspired everyone around her. Even through challenges, she kept dreaming, building, and giving. She was in the process of starting her own nonprofit organization, a reflection of her selfless heart and her lifelong desire to help others rise.

She was the cherished daughter of Cynthia Crain Holmes (Elliott) and Ira Crain, and the loving sister of Ira (Amy), Rasheen, Lamont, Latroymen, Elijah, Uriah, Lachoya, and Fortashia. She was preceded in death by her brothers Fortee and Kushanta’, whose memories she held close to her heart. Shay adored her many nieces and nephews, treating each one with the same love and care she gave her own children.

Those who knew Shay will always remember her calm spirit, her patience, and her unshakable joy. She rarely let anger take hold; instead, she chose love, laughter, and light. Her presence brought peace, and her absence leaves a silence that can only be filled with gratitude for having known her.

Her legacy lives on — through her children, her family, and every life she touched with her kindness and strength. Though her time here was shorter than we hoped, the love she gave will echo forever.
