Melasand Lynette Stowers

Melasand Lynette Stowers (Mel) (Pokie) was born April 1, 1963, to Josephine (Jo) Stowers Snedecor and Leroy Snedecor, both who preceded her in death.

Melasand accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.

Mel was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and attended Valley High School where she participated in Track & Field, Drill Team, and Basketball. She worked as a waitress and retired at Flamingo Hotel and Casino. She had five children, LaVar Stowers-Coleman, Kendrick Stowers-Coleman, Wilbert Davis Jr., Sha-Rose and Scqouia.

Mel is joining her parents Josephine and Leroy Snedecor, two sons LaVar and Kendrick Stowers-Coleman, brother Anthony Witherspoon, auntie Alma Givens and five uncles.

Mel leaves to cherish one son Wilbert, two daughters Sha-Rose and Scqouia, sisters Cassandra Williams (Larry), and Tarina Butler, brothers LeGary Stowers and Roy Green, one nephew Myron Williams (Gyda), one niece Ebony Stowers, five grandsons Tyson, Keyshawn, Kayden, Khalil, and Kylan, seven granddaughters Kendrea, Keaira, Nariah, Kaniya, Kylah, Kyndall, and Legend and a host of aunts, uncles, family members, cousins, and friends.

Mel (Pokie) will be missed dearly by those who cherished and loved her!
