Michael William Hutchings

Michael William Hutchings, 71, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026. Born on December 10, 1954, Michael grew up in La Habra, California, worked various jobs across the U.S. and spent his later years in the Las Vegas area.

Michael will be remembered as a deeply dedicated caregiver, a tireless worker in every aspect of his life, and a steadfast advocate for the environment. He is survived by three siblings and several loving nieces and nephews.

Michael lived his life with quiet strength and he possessed a profound love for the outdoors, often finding his greatest peace hiking among nature’s quiet grandeur. That same deep appreciation for the world around him guided his life-long passion for protecting animals and the environment. Whether tending to those in need or protecting wildlife, his selflessness left an enduring mark on everyone he encountered. He was also a remarkably generous supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and various other charitable causes, dedicating his resources to helping those in need and fighting for a better future. His ashes will be spread in one of the parks that he loved.

Michael will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all the lives he touched. If you would like to honor Michael’s memory, memorial contributions can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or your favorite charity.
