On Sunday, April 1, 1973, in Yonkers, New York, a quiet but powerful spirit came into the world, Nakesha (Turner) Williams. On September 5, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada, she peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love and loyalty.
She was the beloved daughter of William "Foster" Turner and Sylvia Hines, and the cherished sister of LaChon Turner and Makema Robinson (Kelly Robinson). She also held a special place in the lives of her nephews, Jahmel and William, and they held a special place in her heart, as she loved them with the tender devotion of both an aunt and a second mother.
On June 24, 1995, during their military service to their country, she met the love of her life, Niguel Williams, in Valdosta, Georgia. The bond they formed was immediate and enduring. United in marriage on May 21, 1999, they walked hand in hand through twenty-six years of partnership and love, a union built on quiet strength, loyalty, and an unshakable presence that spoke louder than words. One that was demonstrated through their sacrifices and selfless acts of devotion.
Nakesha was a proud graduate of the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC), formerly known as the University of Maryland University College (UMUC), and later fulfilled her passion for justice by earning her law degree from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis, now known as the McKinney School of Law. She also honorably served as a Personnel Specialist in the United States Air Force, carrying her discipline and dedication into every chapter of her life.
She had a deep love for the pursuit of truth, finding joy in trivia, true crime, and legal dramas such as CSI, Law & Order, and Suits. Documentaries, especially those that uncovered hidden histories or revealed truths long buried, spoke to her spirit. She was, at her core, a seeker of wisdom, of clarity, and of truth.
