She was firm, strong willed and didn’t take no for an answer when she had her heart set on something, she never quit!

Onita was loved by her family and friends and will always be remembered as a pillar in her family tribe. She loved the children most of all, she made the best of all situations and drew you in with her style and natural ability to shift the energy when she entered a room. She was very comical in conversations with her funny antics and sly word play. Onita was definitely, a force to be reckoned with. She wore strength like a crown, she left us with wisdom not just words. She was courageous and bold, what you saw was what you got. Sometimes sweet and at times salty with her there was no in between. You always knew where you stood. Most of all as firm as her hand could be it was that much more loving and comforting. Always there when you needed a safe place to be yourself and to be seen and heard. Her spirit was one of realness, she believed in being free to be yourself. That was her biggest flex! Real and true, always blazed her own trail. She was a truth teller, an advisor, and a comforter to those she loved. All who knew and loved her will be forever grateful for the love she scattered and sprinkled upon our lives.

Onita passed away peacefully surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and solid strength. She was a devoted family member and friend who touched the lives of many through her warmth and compassion.
