Ronnell Suggs Sr., born on December 18, 1969 in Kansas City, MO, and peacefully passed away on August 6, 2024, in Henderson, Nevada, United States. He was the 1st beloved son of Charles Lee Suggs Sr. and Anna B. Hardin-Henderson.
Ronnell attended DM Pinkerton, Westport Jr High, and Paseo High School where he graduated in 1988. He was baptized and served as an Assistant Pastor and Youth Pastor at SouthSide First Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Stanley Smith. Ronnell furthered his education at Heart Of America Theological Seminary, graduating in getting his BA degree in Theology in 2008. He once founded a church "Ray of Hope" Church, his love for God and people were the primary reason. He dedicated many years of his life to his career as a Facilities Manager at Dallas Community College before retiring in 2021. Ronnell worked in Kansas City and then took his talents to Texas and later Nevada.
Aside from his work, Ronnell enjoyed supporting the Kansas City Chiefs, cooking delicious meals, spreading the Word of God, and spending quality time with his family.
Ronnell preceded In Death By His Grandmother, Emma L.Turner, His Grandfather William H.Hardin Sr., Father Charles L.Suggs Sr., Step Mother Karen Suggs, Brother Charles L. Suggs Jr., Step Father Lucian P. Henderson, Mother in Law Addie B. Atkinson, Father in Law Noble Atkinson and Sister in Law Novella D. Atkinson. He was a loving husband to his 1st love Junnie Suggs for 35 years and a devoted father to his four children: Ronnell Suggs Jr. (Anyea), Ja'Zmin Suggs (Bryan), Alondra Suggs (Rashad), and Asa Suggs (Taija). He also leaves behind one cherished grandchild (Messyah). His siblings include Charneese Suggs-Barr (Phil), aforementioned Charles Suggs Jr., Kareem Suggs (Amanda), Oscar Suggs (Elaine), Sylvia Suggs, Tiffany Suggs, Myron Ashford Sr., Benitha Lincoln, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, special friends, and brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ.
Ronnell will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his soul return to eternal Glory. Thank you to everyone who has supported the family at this difficult time. To God be the Glory!
