Shermaine Perry Richardson Sr., affectionately known as “Chip,” was born September 27, 1977, in Las Vegas, Nevada to Michelle Moore and Raymond Richardson Sr. Shermaine accepted Christ at a young age as a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, where he served an usher. As a student, he attended Rose Warren Elementary School, Roy Martin Middle School, and Cheyenne High School. During High School, he played basketball and football and was a member of the High Steppers and Westernettes Drill teams. After completing his education, Shermaine worked for the City of Las Vegas Parks and Recreation Division.
He was dedicated to his children, mother, grandchildren, family, and friends. Shermaine was outgoing, charismatic, and sociable; Chip left an impression on everyone he encountered and considered each person he met—regardless of their walk of life—as family.
