Vernita Ann Dixson

Vernita “Nita” Ann Dixson was born February 7, 1972, in Las Vegas, Nevada to the late Charles Ross and Blanchie Ann Davis. Vernita was baptized at an early age and accepted Christ into her life while at the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend J. L. Kemp. Her loving grandparents Kenneth and Juanita made sure that Vernita knew God and his word they made sure she was a faithful member of the youth choir and usher board. Vernita received her formal education at the Operation Independence School. She then went through the Clark County School District, afterwards Vernita went on to attend Nevada Partners receiving her certification in Life Skills.

Vernita was always known for her sweet spirit and bright smile that always lit up any room she walked into. Vernita truly loved her family and always made sure to tell them. God gave Nita his greatest gift by way of her son Antoine. He was her joy and her reason.

Preceding her in death were her parents, grandparents, and sister Rashedra.

Vernita leaves to cherish her memories: son Antoine, and granddaughter Abigail. Her grandfather Kenneth. One sister, Monica and three brothers: Byron (Virginia), Lamont, and Daniel. Three aunts, Emeldia of Las Vegas, NV, Mildred of San Bernardino, CA and Eula of Apple Valley, California and uncle Clifton. Godsisters Sheila and Sharon. Special friend Perry, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
