Vivian Faye Washington, a beloved mother, sister, and friend known for her vibrant spirit and unwavering work ethic, passed away leaving a legacy of love and laughter. Born on September 23, 1959, in Las Vegas, Nevada, she was the cherished youngest child of Catherine and John Boyakins Jr.
A proud lifelong resident of her hometown, Vivian graduated from Rancho High School in 1977. She later married Albert Washington, and together they welcomed her only son, Albert Washington Jr. In 1993, Vivian found love again with Ricky Williams, and from this union, her only daughter, Rickelle Williams, was born.
Vivian was truly the life of the party. Exceptionally outgoing and charismatic, she seemed to know someone everywhere she went, lighting up every room she entered with her "real," authentic personality. Alongside her joyful nature, Vivian was incredibly hardworking. She dedicated 30 years of loyal service to the United States Postal Service before her well-deserved retirement.
Vivian Washington departed this life on June 4, 2026 with her family at her bedside. She leaves to cherish her memory, her father, John Boyakins Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; the love of her life, Ricky Williams of Monroe, LA; two children, Albert Washington Jr. (Crystal) and Rickelle Williams of Las Vegas, NV; 2 sisters, Rosie (Calloway Sr.) of Randolph of Coatopa, AL and Lorene Boyakins of Paramount, CA; one brother, Gregory Boyakins (Deborah); three grandchildren, Trinity, Jordan and Anthony Washington; special neighbors Larry Williams (Cassandra) and Ms. Carroll all of Las Vegas, NV and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Vivian was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Williams Boyakins.
