Sterling Clemmy Williams passed away in Las Vegas on November 30, 2019. He was 50 years old. He was born on December 11, 1968 to Zendre Bankston and Clemmy Sinclair Williams.
In early childhood, Sterling’s family relocated to Los Angeles, CA from New Iberia, Louisiana. He earned the nickname of “Sterl the Pearl” as a popular athlete at St. Bernard High School in Marina Del Rey, CA. After graduation he attended Texas Southern University.
Sterling spent a number of years in the entertainment industry touring as a bodyguard for stars such as P. Diddy, Mo’Nique, and Snoop Dogg. He also traveled through all 50 states many times over during his time as a commercial truck driver.
Sterling moved to Las Vegas in 2018 to be closer to his sister Cha’Ronn. Together with his girlfriend, Sylvia, the three enjoyed eating together, watching movies and listening to music. He loved sports and watched an endless amount of basketball videos. He had a great love for animals and usually could be found feeding all the neighborhood cats. He was a great humanitarian who often helped his family and friends in need. He will also be remembered for his contagious smile, beautiful blue eyes, and quick sense of humor.
Sterling was preceded in death by his parents, Clemmy and Zendre; Aunt Fannie Williams, and infant son Alexander. He is survived by his children Rianna and Sterling Tyler from his marriage to Yvette “Rio” White and Skyler from his marriage to Rebbeca Tarkington; his siblings Tanya, Charles, Cynthia, and Cha’Ronn; his girlfriend Sylvia Perez Hinojosa, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
