Funeral Director

A person engaged in, conducting the business of or holding himself or herself out as engaged in:

(a) Preparing or contracting to prepare by embalming or in any other manner dead human bodies for burial, cremation or disposal, or directing and supervising the burial, cremation or disposal of dead human bodies.

  1. (b) Directing, supervising or contracting to direct or supervise funerals.
  2. (c) The business of a funeral director by using the words “funeral director,” “mortician” or any other title implying

that the person is engaged in the business of funeral directing.


Embalmer

One who goes through the process of chemically treating the deceased human body to reduce the growth of microorganisms, to retard decomposition, and to restore an acceptable physical appearance.

You must have graduated from an accredited mortuary college, Must past the state/national boards and be licensed in the state of Nevada. 


Funeral Arranger

Any person employed by a funeral establishment or direct cremation facility who meets with families, or other persons authorized pursuant to NRS 451.024 to order the disposition of human remains of a deceased person, to plan funeral services for a decedent.

Must past the state exam and be licensed in the state of Nevada. 


Funeral Attendant

This position helps in any and every aspect of assisting the director in providing services for the final disposition of a loved one. 

  1. High school diploma or GED
  2. Ability to lift at least 100 pounds
  3. Valid driver’s license
  4. Available to work nights, weekends, holidays and to be on call
  5. Must have an attention to detail and excellent customer service skills
